The human element of robotics interfaces

Vibe Robotics is building a multimodal user interface for general purpose robotics. Our interface is human and task oriented and is designed to work with any robotics hardware from industrial arms and humanoids to large construction machines and drones. We have a special emphasis on scale, the interface is built from the ground up for a single user, or a small group of users, to be able to handle thousands of robots simultaneously collaborating on a task.

Our novel approach is an action oriented design where AI assisted manipulation of the world is the primary mode of interaction. As the user becomes more familiar with the problem at hand the first step in automation is naming things in the world for easier reference. Eventually, as tasks become repetitive, the user can automate them further using a programming tool that balances chat interaction with a state of the art visual programming notation.

Our system is backed by sensor fusion core that creates a coherent spatial model that is accessible to all connected robots.
